Infant & Toddler Nutrition with an ALLERGY focus

Saturday's breakfast conversation at Brisbane's Emporium Hotel was all about infant and childhood allergies; why are they on the increase, what foods are the main culprits and what symptoms do we as Health Professionals need to be on the look-out for? Diagnosis is one of the many challenges a parent of an allergy child faces. The Child Health Nurses and Midwives I spoke to consistently reported an increase in the number of families presenting and the confusion, sleeplessnes and concerns they face. It was so uplifting to be surrounded by a roomful of motivated and empathetic women, and the food was good too!
